Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Eve everybody! Christmas is hand-down my favorite holiday ever and I hope some of you feel the same way. Everything is so stunning from the beautiful bright Christmas lights on every house to the huge incandescent Christmas trees decorated fabulously. Even to the late night binge sessions of Christmas shows and movies, getting snuggled up next to a fire with some hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookies… Ok, I get a little extra, but you get the point! My favorite Christmas Eve tradition is to sit around the lit Christmas tree and exchange one gift with my loved ones. We jam out to Christmas music and share the love we have for one another. Christmas is a great time to spend with family and friends and showing your appreciation for them. Spending valuable time with your friends and family is vital during this holiday season. Schedules are so chaotic during the year and winter break usually give us some time away from our busy, stressful lives to finally catch up with some of our personal relationships. Christmas can be a great time for gift giving and lots of shopping, but it is important that we never lose sight of the true meaning. Ultimately, the true meaning of Christmas is love. The birth of Christ took place on this day and we must recognize his deity. God loved us and provided a way for us to spend eternity with him. "But God demonstrated His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). The true meaning is to show love to all around us. During the holidays, I enjoy giving back to my community. Toy drives, clothing drives, food pantry donations or volunteering at soup kitchens are amazing ways to give back and to help the less fortunate in our own towns. We must not forget to be generous and loving! I hope all you guys enjoy this holiday season and have a Merry Christmas! :)
